Message From the Minister

Two thousand years ago those standing on the shores of the Jordan River wondered who this new teacher was, this man who had joined the crowds who had come to seek baptism from John the Baptist.  They followed him until finally he turned and asked them “Why are you following me?” “Where do you live?” Andrew responded.  “Come and see,” Jesus said to him.  “Come and see what it means to follow me and to be my disciple.”

So Jesus invites us as we begin this New Year.  Come and explore what it is that your heart is yearning for this year.  Reconnect with the Holy; make the time to nurture your spirit.  Explore what it means to give your life to something so much greater than yourself.

Here at Pitt Meadows United Church we are seeking to be followers of Jesus who live out the Good News of Jesus here in Pitt Meadows.  You will find here a community of fellow seekers, elders and children and everyone in-between, who gather for worship and study and who look outwards for ways to serve right where we live and around the world.  Come experience worship that feeds your soul and your mind, experience community that welcomes each person as a beloved child of God.
